Eligibility:  One year DHMCT / Craft programme after 10+2 or Two year DHMCT (after 10th Standard) completed student from AICTE / NCHM / Food Craft Institutes / State Government / Institutes recognised by the Universities approved institutes can join directly to the II Year.

The programs aim at making the learners understand the conceptual skills in operation, and administrative management related to hospitality services. It provides an opportunity to meet the ever demanding needs of the Hospitality Industry.


Technical Education in the area of Hotel Management has assumed significance at present.  Being the world’s largest service sector and India’s favourite field of export, the continued growth of Tourism has helped in creating many new jobs that require appropriate education and training at all levels. Tourism sector offers a wide spectrum of employment opportunities to various skilled personnel from highly trained managers to room boys, artisans, transport workers, etc.


Annamalai University, in technical collaboration with SIMS, is conducting Hotel Management, Tourism and Catering Technology programmes at the U.G. and P.G., P.G. Diploma, Diploma levels from the academic year 2011-2012 through Distance Education mode for youths aspiring jobs in this industry. PAN INDIA EDUCATION is the Regional Coordinator of SIMS, NATIONAL COLLABORATOR – ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY.

 

UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS

The Annual University Examinations will be held in May, usually commencing on 19th May for all the programmes. Supplementary examinations for absentees and those who have failed in the previous examinations are held in December, usually commencing on 26th December. 


Application forms for registration for the examinations along with examination centres, time-table, fees payable and other regulations governing the examinations, will be sent in the month of February/March by the Controller of Examinations, Annamalai University to all the students who have paid their tuition fees in full before January. 


Examination application forms will be sent only by ordinary post. Those students who do not receive the examination application form for any reason before the end of March should apply to the Controller of Examinations quoting their enrolment number, programme of study etc. Non-receipt of examination application form is not an excuse for not registering for the examination.


The examination application form, time-table, fees details etc can also be downloaded from the university website www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in


Forms for registration for the supplementary examination will be sent only on request made to The Controller of Examinations in the month of October/ March.

 

Students failing to attend the PCPs are not eligible to sit for the examination held at the end of the year(s), wherever attendances at the PCPs are compulsory.

 

Even students failing to fulfil the attendance requirements may receive forms to apply for registration for the examination and the receipt of such a form does not imply that the recipient is eligible to sit for the examination, as the forms are being routinely issued to all students enrolled for the programmes by the office of the Controller of Examinations.

 

If, inspite of this warning, a student failing to fulfil the attendance requirement gets himself/ herself registered for the examination, and writes the examination, his/her results will be cancelled.

 

 

 

HALL TICKETS

Hall tickets will not be sent to the candidates by post. They will be issued only at the Examination Centres by the Chief Superintendents during the three days prior to the commencement of the examinations and not by the Study Centres of the Directorate.


The intimation of venue of examination with the Register Number will be sent to students through ordinary post by the Controller of Examinations one week prior to the commencement of examinations. If a student does not receive the same, he/she may also download the information from the university website.


Further, if a student who had applied in time for registration, has not received any venue intimation, he/she is required to contact the Chief Superintendent of his/her examination centre with the photostat copies of his/her examination application form, demand draft for examination fees and acknowledgement etc., to enable the Chief Superintendent of the Centre to allow him/her to write the examination provisionally, subject to confirmation by the Controller of Examinations.

 

EXAMINATION RESULTS & ISSUE OF MARKS LIST

All enquiries regarding the examinations, publication of results, re-totalling of marks, issue of marks sheet, provisional certificate, etc. should be addressed to The Controller of Examinations, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar – 608 002. Those who have applied for the degree certificate, will get them after the convocation.

 

 

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS   

Mention your Enrolment Number in all your correspondence.

  1. To pay the Tuition fee, Re-admission fee, Change of Programme/Name/Centre, Transfer Certificate, Bonafide Certificate, draw a Demand Draft in favour of The Director, DDE, Annamalai University or as mentioned in Prospectus.
  2. For Examination fees, Convocation fees, Mark list, Provisional and Migration Certificates, write to the Controller of Examinations with the prescribed fees drawn in favour of the Controller of Examinations and not the Director.
  3. Regarding program of study, Personal Contact Programs etc., address to the Director, D.D.E., Annamalai University/SIMS and for Examinations to the Controller of Examinations, Annamalai University.
